Guru Jigna Mehta, the Founder and Kalaguru of Nupur Global Kathak Academy, is an accomplished Kathak dancer, choreographer, and mentor with over 30 years of teaching and performing experience. She has received her training under renowned Kathak maestros Pandit Suman Mangeshkar and Narayani Devi, both distinguished disciples of Pandit Sunderlal Gangani ji of the Jaipur Gharana. She has also further refined her art under the guidance of Guru Dr. Puru Dadhich. Committed to preserving the purity of the guru-shishya parampara, Jigna Mehta combines discipline, technical precision, and deep artistic expression in her teaching. Her mentoring style is known for being rigorous yet compassionate, ensuring that every student not only learns the technique of Kathak but also understands its soul, devotion, and grace.
